Top 5 FAV books of mine

salam and hi to all!
Well, as I've nothing better to do, I've decided to show you and probably give a thorough analysis of my favourite books until now ( it'll probably change though, when I get older)
So, let's begin. Oops, forgot to tell you, these books are listed not according to sequence, because I can't choose! (except the first one)

Okay, I know this is the movie version, but it'll work.

5. Percy Jackson and the Olympians
I know I've not read the entire series, but as I flipped through the pages of the books, I can feel as if I'm sucked into it, completely immersed and could never find a way out! ( lol, kidding). Well, it's not that one of a kind book where you can't put down, but it is worth a read as it satisfies my need for a fantasy-themed book. It's close to harry potter, but with a few minor setbacks as to why a 12-year-old boy could possibly be matured enough to undergo such a terrifying quest ( what? ) So, I think that's why in the movies, they picture Percy as a 16-18 year old boy, to make it realistic, I suppose. But no matter, as the book has an interesting plot which has lots of twists and turns, with a hint of fantasy (many hints), and a shocking cliffhanger to die for..

4. Dark Visions
Well, this is a story that I would read and read again if I'm bored. Have I mentioned yet, that a love story is not complete without a touch of fantasy and the supernatural? Well, that's me. Especially as this story includes a love triangle, with a girl, Kaitlyn torn between two equally alluring handsome boys! (swoon) . Kaitlyn has to pick between Rob Kessler, the blonde, handsome, warm and good boy to Gabriel Wolfe, a dark, mysterious, snarky, aggresive and indifferent boy, which later reveals a good heart underneath. For me, I choose Gabriel. Why, you ask? Well, in my opinion, I prefer a character which seems bad and dangerous, but who actually is vulnerable underneath because it shows the growth of a character. In true life, there is no person that is absolutely good and perfect ( except Nabi Muhammad of course). That's why Gabriel is such a believable and realistic character. And of course, him being snarky and a dark kind of guy with amazing chemistry with Kaitlyn makes my heart squeal in delight! Check out the ending, I loved it so much !

3. Skulduggery Pleasant
Wow! I like this book :) I really reccomend you to read it, as it is an action-packed book, complete with many jokes and lots of moral values. I swear to god, if you ever read it, people will look at you funny, because the book will send you into fits of giggles! Sounds crazy, right? This is a book that should be transformed into a movie because the dialogue is so cool and.. I can't justify it right.. To tell you the truth, I've only read the first two of the series, and it had me hooked until the end..So, kudos to Derek Landy, for introducing me to Skulduggery Pleasant's world

2. The Forbidden Game
This is my first read of L.J Smith's work, then I read Dark Visions a few weeks after.. I found the book at a book fest I've visited after PMR. As a bookaholic, I felt up like I'm up in the sky, finally, a place where I truly belonged. Lol pretty hiperbole. And then my friend, Fatihah, showed me this book and praised the author for her wonderful masterpieces.. And so, we made a pact, she will buy Dark Visions while I will buy this book. The first chapter captured my interest so much (probably because of the alluring, mysterious Julian) that I had to finish it ASAP, and it didn't disappoint. I was really being sucked into the Shadow World, which Julian reigns as the Prince. This story is about a girl named Jenny Thornton who is forced to play a game with her friends by the Prince of Shadows, who had fallen in love with her.

Julian : Its easy. If you win, you get to save all your friends, including your beloved Tom and get the hell outta here. If I win, you get to stay with me, here, FOREVER!

This book brought me on a roller-coaster of emotions. Excitement, fear, happiness, love, and sadness were all portrayed beautifully.. And as you have expected, this book also includes a love triangle, with Jenny Thornton as the Girl, Tom Locke as the long-standing, handsome and good boyfriend and Julian with his dangerous aura and exquisitely beautiful face. As usual, I loved Julian, because despite his evil actions and dark demenour, at one part of the book, he truly melted my heart. Why? Because he never seemed so vulnerable before. All this while, people thought he was so evil, but actually all the things he had done was because his depth of love for Jenny. And that, including another heartbreaking scene at the end of the story, made me love Julian even more..I literally sobbed my heart out, you know. If you ever read it, and didn't like it, just stick to it till the end, because I can promise you the ending will be worthwhile, and fitting... Thanks, L.J. Smith for bringing me into a world where I could experience the sweetness of romance, heartbreak, sheer terror and sadness, all rolled into one.
PS : Forgot to tell you, this book comprises of three separate books, it is actually an omnibus edition. Dark Visions too.

1. Harry Potter series

I know I should have put all of the books, but it's a lot of hard work, haha. I'm just too lazy, I guess..

Ok, so here goes.. the ultimate favourite book(s) of all time, I present to you HARRY POTTER!
I don't know if you've read it or not, but for those who have, HIGH FIVE! Actually, I watched the movies first, I didn't want to read the books because I was afraid if it would get too hard for me to understand (seriously, I was just eight years old), but then my father encouraged me, and so I started reading the first book when my mum gave it to me as a present. And I was surprised. Because it's my first book that I couldn't put down. Thus, begins my obsession for Harry Potter. I stopped though when I watched the fourth movie because Cedric DIED.. ugh, I didn't want to read about that in a book! Nonetheless, I overcame my fear and continued reading the series and WOW! I've never loved a book like this before, literally.. This book taught me the true meaning of friendship, bravery, love and so many other moral values, inserted beautifully in the amazing plot twists of this gripping page-turner book... just wow..
I've read it lots of times since I was a kid, and it taught me how to narrate in English..
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you J.K. Rowling :)
